Weight Of The World

A great calamity has destroyed humanity and life as we know it. A lone female managed to survive the end of the world and through adaptation, restarted life. Without any other humans  around, and power gained through two new elements added to the world, she distributed her blood  to every animal she could find and created new life. These new beings have the bodies of animals and the personalities of humans. She led them as best she could, constructing the great city of Ignacia. A new nation three times as large as the biggest country in the previous world.

As time progressed, the last human watched over five generations keeping the various new races of people in check before she simply vanished. While it is well known that the aging process slowed dramatically, immortality was not gifted to her.  Many revered her as a goddess but when she vanished without trace, that reverence became corrupted with fear and distrust. The new races of people turned on each other bent on finding out who took their goddess from them. This calamity was stopped by the formation of a new system of rule based on the amount of blood from the last of humans flowing  in the veins of certain individuals. Your entire family's worth is decided at birth became the golden rule society evolved from.  Depending on the blood in your veins, your ability to manipulate the world around you though the new element is measured, and in many cases,  capped.

The Tribal Bloods, those with the least amount of blood are unable to wield the element at all. So instead they rely on traditional ways of life. Where they built their character and their society using nothing but tools they made themselves. While earnest,  their violent natures and very primitive approach to change has severely limited their potential to adapt and grow.  Many of the Tribal Bloods population was lost when the last human vanished and the order that was established persecuted them considerably. 

The Hybrids, where most of the nation's population falls under. The blood ranges from a quarter to about a half in the rarest cases of those who dwell in this class.  While they share the animal-like appearance of the Tribal bloods, their capabilities are overwhelmingly different. Why unable to manipulate the element at will, they are able to interact with it and shape it physically.  The hybrids use it to power and craft various items to improve various tools and even machinery used in their everyday lives. Work is limited and when one does find it, there's a high chance you will remain there for the rest of your days.

The Purebloods, rare families with the huge blood ratios of the last human. While they are in fact the same species as  the new race, they appear more human than animal-like. Able to manipulate the raw element into various different specializations. They are the most advanced and powerful of the three classes due to their ancestors being directly linked to Last Human's first generation.  Their blood ratios range between 70-80% giving some unique attributes or abilities when they come of age to receive their aspect.

 

You take the role as Reeve,  the heir to Ignacia, for your family ranks at  the top of the purebloods and by birthright, are the ruling family  of the nation. Your family's unique blood ratio is in the 90-96 percentile. Yet when you were born with 98% of the last human's blood flowing through you. Your power and potential is as nearly as limitless as the founder of the entire race. Your choices alone will make or break this new world. Many lives are in your hands going forward, are you ready to meet them?
